At the Kraaiven – Vossenberg business park, five companies, a drinking water company, two water boards, the municipality and the province are working on a sustainable solution for the use and reuse of water. By using AquaVest the supply and demand are cleverly brought together so that it works out well for the environment as well as for the business operations of the parties involved.
Pilot project
This pilot project must ensure that there is sufficient good quality water in the long term. The aim is to find a way that combines water savings and cost savings, which are good for the environment and good for businesses, respectively. The participants provide data for the calculation model, and based on a number of scenarios the software proposes system solutions that lead to an improvement of the total water system. Examples include proposals for the use of surface water and the use of tailor-made effluents from municipal wastewater treatment plants. The water needs from the agrisector and from nature will be considered in a later phase of the pilot. AquaVerst will produce an investment strategy, but it’s is ultimately up to government and industry to determine what they want to invest in.
Cross sector collaboration
The project is a collaboration between Agristo, Coca Cola European Partners Netherlands, International Flavors & Fragrances, FUJIFILM, Brabant Water, Brabant Delta Water Board, De Dommel Water Board, Tilburg Municipality and the province of North Brabant.
